Well, as usual, Greenville has lots of options to celebrate the 4th! You could:
*Go to the Wells Fargo Red, White, and Blue fireworks. This will take place in downtown Greenville on Wednesday starting around 5, with fireworks around 9:45pm. There will be music and food vendors, too!
*Check out Greer City Park’s Freedom Blast on June 30th.
Music, fireworks, and a salute to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces await guests at the 2012 Greer Memorial Hospital Freedom Blast scheduled for June 30 at Greer City Park. The annual celebration will begin at 5 p.m. and will culminate with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.
or
*Go to the Red White and Blue Shoes 5K Run at Furman University. Here’s a description:
The American Spirit 5K Course at Red, White and Blue Shoes consists of a big loop around the central part of the Furman campus. There are just a few hills – the rest of the course is relatively flat. The race starts in front of Cherrydale Mansion. The first mile of the course circles around the Mall. The second mile takes you around the lake. The third mile consists of a short uphill, then it’s back down the mall to the blazing finish at the stadium. We think you’ll agree this is the fastest 5K road course at Furman. Come out and give it a try. We’re expecting lots of PRs!
